Directory Submission is a part of Off-page optimization.it is also important technique in Optimization of search engine.

            Directory Submission is nothing but to put the Uniform Resource Locator (URL)

Of your site to Different Directory .By doing  this Directory Submission you are just putting Your web site the their database .Directory sites index your website.And that will help search engine to crawl your site.

Actually when you create or do directory submission you are actually leaving backlinks on there site and major search engine ( Google ,Bing and Yahoo etc.)during the process of searching they reach or grasp or crawl to your website  by using those links.

For Directory Submission we will need the List of Directory site in which we can put our Web page URL . For that you need to do some google .but now you do not need to search a lot to find List of Directory Submission site I have already search for you..and this list is of   Do follow ( Do follow …??? Let’s us Learn Directory Submission with Example

How to put do directory submission.

Although we can use a lot of tools ,but I prefer not to use those as we can not have faith on those software or tools.But only for you sake I will tell you a lot of tools available later on but as of now let us take an example of Dmoz directory .step by step..

EXAMPLE 1 . DIRECTORY SUBMISSION IN DMOZ.COM

Before submitting your site please go through the instructions. On

Check whether your site is already there if yes do not submit again your site in dmoz otherwise it your site will be black-listed .

Now follow the step:-

• Once you done with instruction ( do not need to go in deep, just have look at those..some of them I have explained.
• Go to Home page of the Directory then click on directory ( there are many directory give ) select you kind of directory . for example suppose we have a  real estate site now we I just click on business directory And then on subdirectory ( in our example it is Real estate) .

• Then go in on more sub directory ( in real estate I selected the property management.
• Once you go in the most sub part of your desired directory you will see a link named as “ SUBMIT A LINK” .Click on it a form type will appear that has following point:-

• A page named as “Submit a site to the open directory “ will appear.
• Site URL : . Just submit site URL.
• Title of Site:-enter the title tag ( See the glossoory term for this ) of the site.
• Site  Description :- in this enter you site small description or Keyword description.
• Your Email id:- enter you id where you will get confirmation.
• Verify and submit.
